Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Spanish language arts to students in an urban setting. This is a part-time position that requires a Bachelor's Degree with a major or minor in Spanish and a current MSDE teaching license in Secondary Spanish Language.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement rigorous, objective-driven, arts-infused units, lessons, and performance tasks that align with state standards.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the unique learning needs of individual students, ensuring all students are engaged and challenged.
- Present academic content through a variety of instructional strategies, including cooperative learning and project-based learning, and integrate technology to reach all learners.
- Provide ongoing and timely feedback to students on their progress towards meeting learning objectives.
- Create a focused environment of fairness and respect that encourages students to take risks and strive to reach goals.
- Maintain appropriate student supervision to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Bachelor's Degree with a major or minor in Spanish
- Current MSDE teaching license in Secondary Spanish Language
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's in Spanish Language Arts and two years of experience teaching in an urban setting
