Job Title: Avionics Crew Chief

At StandardAero, we're seeking a highly skilled Avionics Crew Chief to join our team. As a key member of our aviation maintenance team, you'll be responsible for supervising a crew of leads and technicians in the performance of avionics and electrical systems maintenance and installation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of technicians to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Assure that technicians are held accountable for the quality of the maintenance work they perform.
  • Appraise, recommend, and implement salary and other status changes, rewards, and recognition for crew members.
  • Coordinate multiple activities to accomplish the required maintenance by the promised delivery date.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to technicians on aircraft maintenance and/or install configurations.
  • Coordinate with other departments in scheduling arrivals/departures, job flow, and communicating with the customer or CPM on the status of work.
  • Monitor hours charged to a job to assure that costs are controlled and schedule dates are met.
  • Perform final "walk around" to ensure aircraft cleanliness and readiness for departure.
Requirements:
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Avionics Technician in corporate aviation.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Avionics Modifications in corporate aviation.
  • Prior supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership skills that promote teamwork and collaboration.
  • Must have demonstrated exemplary technical ability in specialty area.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical avionics problems.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple activities to achieve quality maintenance within established time frame.

  • FCC License
