Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the payroll and benefits HRIS team
  • Design and implement global initiatives focusing on total rewards, HRIS, and analytics
  • Manage US and Canadian benefit offerings, including renewals and open enrollments
  • Oversee 401K plans in the US and RRSP plans in Canada
  • Enhance the utilization of Dayforce, initiating new features to improve processes and employee satisfaction
  • Manage HRIS projects effectively
  • Oversee HR reporting and data analytics
  • Determine FSLA exempt status classifications
  • Administer payroll state/provincial tax accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Conduct compensation analysis and ensure salary equity
  • Manage employee file audits and compliance checks
  • Lead data privacy initiatives
  • Facilitate the Annual Merit Process
  • Stay updated on payroll compliance in Canada and the US
  • Support HR aspects of mergers and acquisitions
  • Handle Worker's Comp/CSST reporting and renewals
  • Travel as necessary across Canada and the US

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Canadian and US payroll processing
  • 5-8 years in a senior managerial or director role within a similar sector
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management
  • In-depth knowledge of Benefits/Total Rewards, including 401K/RRSP administration
  • Strong proficiency in HRIS systems, particularly Dayforce HCM
  • Expertise in data analytics and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks effectively
