Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at ADAPT Community Network. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing speech and language assessment and therapy to students in our Preschool Program located in Queens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments to determine student's developmental level and needs
  • Develop and implement individualized speech and language therapy plans
  • Collaborate with parents and team members to ensure effective communication and support
  • Provide in-service training on alternative communication techniques and assistive technology
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology
  • Current NY State license in Speech and Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency
  • NYSED Certification as a Teacher of Speech and Hard of Hearing (TSHH)
