Job Summary:

The Junior Salvage Naval Architect is a key member of the Resolve Marine team, responsible for supporting emergency response, salvage, and wreck removal operations. This role requires a strong understanding of naval architecture and engineering principles, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide technical support to the Salvage Master and operations team, including the development of written technical plans, drawings, and diagrams to support operations.
* Conduct initial emergency response surveys, towing plans, and calculations, rigging design, and vessel connections.
* Develop 3D hull models for use in stability software for damage stability, salvage, and wreck removal operations.
* Use stability software and hydrostatics information to develop ground reactions, ballast/cargo discharge requirements, and estimate freeing force requirements.
* Support various emergency response, salvage, and wreck removal jobs by developing engineering plans, arrangements, and drawings to the satisfaction of the client and appropriate authorities.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Ocean Engineering.
* Familiarity with shipbuilding processes and production design, including detailed engineering design and drafting experience.
* Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain EIT certification in Florida.

Computer Skills:

* Working knowledge of hydrostatic calculations, including the development of 3D hull models for use in stability software, experience with GHS software strongly preferred.
* Working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD software.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Travel Requirement:

* Up to 75% travel is required. If additional travel is required beyond the specified amount, based on operational demand, you will be notified accordingly so arrangements can be made.

Work Environment:

* This is a full-time salary position based in New Orleans, LA, supporting Resolve Marine's global emergency response, salvage, and wreck removal operations.
