As a Swimwear Merchant, your primary focus will be to enhance your category through the product development lifecycle. Your key responsibilities will encompass financial forecasting, profit and loss management, innovation in product creation, and assessment of current offerings. Collaboration with Design, Creative, Quality, and Inventory teams will be essential in various aspects, including: crafting product content for catalogs, ensuring quality and fit of products, and fulfilling customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a keen awareness of market dynamics (trend analysis) and translate insights into profitable growth and measurable outcomes.
  • Possess a strong instinct and enthusiasm for exceptional products, showcasing a distinct product perspective.
  • Exhibit robust analytical capabilities and financial insight, demonstrated through the ability to evaluate situations and propose recommendations that align with the brand's ethos; a critical thinker.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in buying or merchandising within catalog, specialty, or department store settings.
  • 5-10 years of experience in product development within the apparel sector.
  • A collaborative team player capable of effectively engaging with diverse communication styles.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage projects from inception to completion within specified timelines.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be organized and self-motivated.

The compensation range for this role is $70,400 - $129,200. An employee's salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location, and organizational needs. This position may also qualify for annual merit increases, bonuses, and/or incentive compensation. Additionally, a comprehensive benefits package is available, including paid time off, health, dental, vision, and disability benefits.
