Healthcare Customer Service Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Service Representative to support our healthcare operations. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth patient experience and maintaining efficient clinic operations.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
The Patient Service Representative will:
- Manage the patient check-in process and verify insurance details.
- Utilize a multi-line phone system to assist patients and address inquiries.
- Maintain electronic health records by scanning and organizing documents.
- Keep the reception area and waiting room orderly and welcoming.
- Monitor appointment schedules for any changes, including cancellations and no-shows.
- Schedule follow-up appointments as necessary.
- Respond to tasks within the electronic health record system.
- Order and manage clinic office supplies.
- Handle the sale and inventory of cosmetic products.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Prepare for the next day's appointments.
Qualifications:
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or similar environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations.
- The ability to quickly learn new software applications.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Capability to operate standard office equipment.
- A typing speed of at least 40 words per minute is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- A professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
- A friendly and compassionate attitude towards patients.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Compensation:
Starting pay is $21 per hour.
