Job Summary

USA Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care according to policies and Nurse Practice Act
  • Supervise and coordinate patient care provided by other licensed and non-licensed staff
  • Administer medications, including controlled substances, by all routes
  • Respond to emergency patient situations and perform basic life support
  • Start IVs and perform activities of daily living
  • Provide patient education and utilize a personal computer or terminal to access the Clinical Information System
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Complete ADP, flow chart, pain assessment tool, discharge forms, and MAR
  • Supervise, evaluate, and finalize the patient care record
  • Transcribe physician orders and complete all mandatory unit, educational, and hospital requirements
  • Utilize cost-effective practices in performing all aspects of the job
  • Adhere to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
  • Provide competent patient care to various patient populations
  • Serve as PICC Line Team Member and provide on-call support to the unit
  • Maintain current knowledge base of all unit policies and procedures, equipment location, and supplies
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current Alabama RN license or current Multi-State RN License in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama
