As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' language and communication needs. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing speech/language therapy programs for students
  • Collaborating with certified speech/language pathologists to provide individualized support
  • Communicating student progress to relevant staff members
  • Traveling between schools for therapy sessions, scheduling direct therapy time, planning travel times, and checking in with building staff

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or Bachelor's degree in Speech/Language Pathology with experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
  • Knowledge of developmental milestones and general children's development
  • Experience working with students with communication, learning, behavioral, and/or physical handicaps
  • Demonstrated knowledge of grammar and English usage
  • Ability to articulate clearly
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to establish a positive rapport with students
  • Ability to maintain program records and organize materials
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to schedule activities and attend to detail
  • Ability to be creative, resourceful, and flexible
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow procedures established by state laws
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and parents
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of people in a multi-cultural and diverse socio-economic setting

Salary: $39,970 - $42,250 per year
