Patient Care Technician

As a Patient Care Technician at Texas Health Resources, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our Medical Surgical Unit. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Care Technician.
Key Responsibilities
Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and moving patients
Collect patient data, identify and report significant findings to the nurse
Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes
Provide and revise patient activities of daily living based on patient and family preferences
Perform technical procedures safely and proficiently
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required
TX CNA or PCT Training Program through NHA, NAHP, and NCCT, accredited community college program, or THR-approved program required upon hire
EMT – Emergency Medical Technician - Military experience with medic/medical training equivalent (Equivalent to EMT-B) required upon hire
Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program required upon hire
1 year of applicable experience in lieu of an active and approved certification required upon hire
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly
