Job Summary:

The Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist will provide support to the leadership of the payroll function by conducting analyses to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as WestRock policies and practices. This role will identify and correct data anomalies, support merger and acquisitions, test functionality changes, reconcile payroll to controls, and participate on projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct end of quarter and year end activities to include the issuance and communication of year end statements.
Assist with tax related projects, system testing and implementations to ensure compliance.
Review and ensure payroll taxes are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
Communicate with internal and external parties to ensure accurate data reporting and tax compliance.

Requirements:

Two to three years relevant work experience.
Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations for US is required.
Bachelors Degree preferred.
ADP SmartCompliance experience is preferred.
PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 experience is a plus.
