Job Summary:

This position is located at Fort Irwin, CA, and is responsible for supervising children and youth during daily schedules of indoor and outdoor activities and on field trips, outings, and special events.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct activities for program participants based on observed needs of individual children and youth.
  • Prepare and implement program options for children and youth with special requirements.
  • Instruct team members in specific tasks and job techniques.
  • Ensure assigned area maintains standards for DoD certification and national accreditation or equivalent.
  • Complete training requirements using approved service materials.
Requirements:
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Meet one of the following qualifications:
    • Possess and maintain a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, Military School Age Credential, Army Youth Practicum, or other nationally recognized Youth Development Credential.
    • Have two years of specialized experience working in a group program with children or youth and an associate's degree or at least 60 semester hours with a major course of study.
    • Hold a bachelor's Degree or at least 120 semester hours with a major course of study.
    • Have 24 months (2 years) working in a group childcare or youth program with completion of DoD approved competency training courses.
Additional Information:

This is a Regular Full-Time position with a minimum workweek of 40 hours and eligible for benefits.
