Job Title: Tax Manager

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at CFA Institute. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for preparing aspects of the global tax provision and transfer pricing in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.

Key Responsibilities

  • **Tax Provision and Transfer Pricing**: Prepare aspects of the global tax provision and transfer pricing in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
  • **Tax Reporting**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on routine and ad-hoc tax reporting requests.
  • **Tax Compliance**: Assist with direct and indirect tax compliance.
  • **Tax Memoranda**: Draft technical memoranda on the company's tax positions.
  • **SOX Controls**: Be responsible for the relevant SOX controls around compliance and reporting.
  • **Tax Position Improvement**: Drive improvements to the company's overall tax position and assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MS in Tax, or a CPA.
  • **Experience**: 7+ years of income tax compliance and financial reporting experience with a combination of large public accounting firms and corporate tax departments.
  • **Relationship Management**: Experience managing relationships with external advisors and auditors.
  • **Communication**: Ability to prioritize and communicate workloads to ensure tasks are completed timely.
  • **Skills**: Organized, detailed, proactive, self-motivated, collaborative, multi-tasker, and creative.
  • **Technical Skills**: Experience with Slack, Apple MacOS, and GSuite.
  • **Communication Skills**: Excellent oral and written communication skills.

What We Offer

  • **Competitive Compensation**: Competitive base pay range: $130,000 - $170,000.
  • **Annual Bonus**: Annual bonus target: 15%.
  • **Benefits**: Equity and benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • **Discretionary Vacation Policy**: Discretionary vacation policy.
  • **Paid Time Off**: 10 days of paid sick leave per year and 11 paid holidays per year in the U.S.
