Overview

The MIL Corporation is in search of a Senior Automation Solutions Engineer (RPA, Manager) to collaborate with a Federal client.

The Senior Automation Solutions Engineer will leverage extensive technology and financial management expertise as part of a dedicated team providing automation and financial management assistance.

This role may allow for some remote work, subject to contract/client and hiring manager approval.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, organize, and manage the planning and execution of automation initiatives, overseeing the work of team members and subcontractors to ensure adherence to delivery timelines and performance standards.
  • Apply financial management principles, processes, and practices to automation projects, ensuring effective oversight of teams implementing solutions that support financial management services.
  • Develop innovative capabilities by collaborating with client business units, analyzing existing financial processes, and identifying modernization opportunities that enhance efficiency.
  • Provide operational support for existing systems and automated processes, maximizing the utilization of tools acquired by the government, and offering training to the user community on both current and newly developed applications.
  • Drive the development of new financial tools and targeted business applications while continuing the automation of financial processes on approved technology platforms.
  • Modernize legacy processes and manage system changes across the team.
  • Conduct performance measurement and tracking against established metrics, ensuring alignment with Agile best practices.

In this position, the employee will supervise team members and engage with senior client leaders.

Travel Requirements

No travel is required for this position.

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of five years leading automation programs, including experience managing Agile teams.
  • At least ten years of overall experience in a professional development environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile and Kanban methodologies, supported by recent practical experience.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities through collaboration and consultation.
  • Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies and change management.
  • Exceptional leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Proficient in delivery measurement and tracking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in federal financial management.
  • Familiarity with systems that support federal financial management services.
  • Knowledge of technical tools such as Jira, GitHub, UIPath, ServiceNow, Salesforce, DataBricks, and Tableau.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Office 365.
  • Active industry Agile certification.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related fields is required. A Master's Degree is preferred.

Clearance

Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Compensation

Salary for this position is determined based on qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations, with a projected compensation range of $135,000 - $165,000 per year.
