About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Robinhood. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our network infrastructure through automation, monitoring, and innovative deployments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and drive operational efficiency.
  • Design and develop robust automated solutions using tools such as Ansible, Python, Jinja, Terraform, device APIs, GenAI, and Chatbots.
  • Promptly triage and resolve issues with automated systems, minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, using automation to streamline the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in networking-focused automation engineering and a proven track record of delivering successful solutions.
  • In-depth understanding of automation tools and technologies, including Git Actions, Ansible, Terraform, or the equivalent.
  • Proficiency in scripting/coding languages (Python, Go, Bash, etc.) to automate complex tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with a wide range of network hardware, including Cisco, Juniper, and Arista devices.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and services, such as BGP, OSPF, MC-LAG, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS) and experience with IPv4 and IPv6.
  • Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated automation services.
  • Strong communication and partnership skills.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood's equity plan.
