Job Overview

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead multiple teams and drive success at JPMorgan Chase, a leading financial institution. As a Manager of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for guiding teams to achieve functional technology objectives, providing guidance to software engineers, and holding accountability for decisions that influence team resources and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technology and process implementations to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance to software engineers and hold accountability for coding decisions.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure compliance with business requirements and standards.
  • Anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.
  • Ability to lead scrum teams and work with product owners and stakeholders.
  • Experience in building applications with high focus on automation across SDLC (CI/CD, AFTs, performance, resiliency & scalability) on AWS, hybrid, and on-premise platforms.
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate with senior leaders and executives.
  • Extensive experience in JAVA full stack, AWS services (ECS, EKS, Fargate, MSK, SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Lambda, AWS batch, Open search, or similar).
  • Extensive experience in building performant APIs to process high-volume payloads.
  • Extensive experience in domain-driven design, data modeling, microservices framework, event, and streaming processes.
  • Experience developing and leading cross-functional teams of technologists.
  • Experience in Data Management, Data Catalog, and Data Governance domains.
  • Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certification preferred.
  • Experience working at code level.
