NFC Hardware Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled NFC Hardware Design Engineer to join our Wireless Hardware group at Apple. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing next-generation NFC solutions for our products.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop NFC hardware solutions that meet the requirements of our products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of NFC hardware with other system components.
- Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve technical issues and drive component selection.
- Develop and maintain schematics, PCB layouts, and bring-up/bench testing designs.
- Perform radio tuning and matching to ensure optimal NFC performance.
- Support factory prototype build and training, with occasional travel.
- Conduct failure analysis to identify and resolve issues.
- BS, MS (or significant equivalent experience), and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Radio Design experience, preferably in high-volume consumer electronics.
- Solid understanding of NFC systems, including NFC theory of operation, NFC circuit design, and NFC antenna design considerations.
- Solid understanding of RF fundamentals, including noise figure, sensitivity/desense, error vector magnitude, and transmission lines.
- Hands-on bench level experience with VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and other general lab equipment.
- Modeling tools like SPICE to model transformer networks.
- Moderate soldering skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
