Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with medication prior authorizations, particularly using CoverMyMeds.
  • Familiarity with imaging prior authorization processes (e.g., AIM, eViCore).
  • Experience in collecting patient copays.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medical terminology.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with patients both via phone and in-person.
  • Ability to effectively liaise with physicians, clinical teams, office management, insurance providers, and specialty pharmacies.
  • Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of patient records and sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in navigating Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to retrieve necessary patient data.
  • Experience with Excel for data management.
  • Capability to conduct benefits investigations, review insurance denials, and manage appeals as necessary, while prioritizing tasks and tracking follow-ups on prior authorizations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, demonstrating empathy and care towards patients.
  • Flexibility to undertake additional responsibilities as required.
