Fleet Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team at Breakthru Beverage Group. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our building and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe operation of all equipment and systems
  • Maintain equipment to ensure reliability, including oil, grease, and adjustments as needed
  • Manage costs in the department, including parts and cleaning supplies
  • Set specifications for new equipment and forklifts
  • Work with vendors on new equipment
  • Perform basic building maintenance, including repairs to interior and exterior building
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience with electric lift trucks
  • Knowledge of conveyor and material handling equipment
  • Ability to read, speak, understand, and follow English instructions
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics on electric equipment
  • Experience in building trades, including painting, sheet rocking, welding, and HVAC
  • Class A Driver's License
  • Mechanical aptitude
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent carrying or lifting up to 20 pounds to perform various duties
  • Frequent pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds
  • Occasional carrying or lifting up to 100 pounds (truck tire)
  • Frequent standing or walking for periods of time
  • Frequent squatting or bending to perform various duties
  • Occasional climbing stairs
