PITT OHIO, a leading transportation solutions provider, is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at our Chicago, IL Terminal. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing fleet equipment safely and correctly.

• Diagnose and repair fleet equipment, including tractors and trailers
• Conduct failure analysis and repair or rebuild fleet equipment components
• Inform management of housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions, and unsafe work practices
• Identify and inform management of broken tools and missing supplies required for performing repairs
• Complete work orders and document repairs
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity

• Two years' verifiable experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair or a technical school degree or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance
• A valid state-issued driver's license
• Must pass DOT physical and drug screen
• A CDL, ASE, and State and/or Federal inspection certification is preferred but not required
• Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of heavy trucks and semi-trailers

Travel may be required, and overtime may be necessary during peak periods. The position requires medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
