Job Overview

Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 (Structured payments after specified periods)

Work Schedule: M-TH 7 PM - 5:30 AM with potential for overtime

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on certifications, including union benefits and scheduled pay increases

This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the upkeep and repair of fleet vehicles and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe operation of all machinery and systems
  • Perform routine maintenance to guarantee reliability – including lubrication and adjustments as necessary (for conveyors, forklifts, etc.)
  • Manage departmental costs (including parts and cleaning supplies)
  • Establish specifications for new machinery and forklifts
  • Collaborate with suppliers for new equipment
  • Conduct basic facility maintenance (repairs to both interior and exterior)
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with electric lift trucks
  • Familiarity with conveyor and material handling systems
  • Proficient in reading, speaking, and understanding English instructions
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics for electrical equipment
  • Experience in building trades such as painting, drywall installation, welding, and HVAC
  • Possession of a Class A Driver's License
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to lift or carry up to 20 pounds for various tasks
  • Occasionally required to push or pull loads up to 20 pounds
  • May need to lift or carry items weighing up to 100 pounds (e.g., truck tires)
  • Frequent standing or walking for extended periods
  • Regular squatting or bending for assigned duties
  • Occasional stair climbing
