Job Summary

Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Office Manager to join our team. As a key member of our physician office operations, you will be responsible for coordinating enrollment, ensuring compliance, and resolving payor issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with contracts and negotiate physician managed care contracts, analytics, and financial modeling.
  • Coordinate physician enrollment in managed care plans and ensure compliance of managed care companies with negotiated contracts.
  • Follow-up and resolve payment issues with Insurance Payors.
  • Act as a liaison between physician offices and Insurance Payors.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and document for all PHO related meetings.
  • Maintain tracking logs for Insurance Payor issues and accountability for closing out items.
  • Oversee PHO phone line, answer and respond to inquiries, and assist with urgent physician office issues.
  • Maintain satisfactory attendance record and report for duty punctually.
  • Adjust to changing situations and work assignments.

Requirements

  • Associates degree required - 5 plus years physician office experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Strong computer skills including familiarity with EMR or other related software programs.
  • Ability to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to contribute and work collaboratively as part of a team.
