Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Developmental Lab Technician Co-Op to join our Sustainability and Adhesives Solutions Function at Mativ Holdings, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and test custom designed samples and developmental products in accordance with MOC innovation, customer, and/or market requirements.
  • Prepare standard and custom designed product samples, obtaining raw materials from inventory, and send samples of laboratory prepared potential new products to customers.
  • Perform standard and specialized tests, interpreting test results and making recommendations to supervisors.
  • Coordinate with other departments as necessary, including operations, quality assurance, purchasing, warehouse, and train new lab personnel on lab procedures and test methods.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma and actively pursuing an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Master's Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Proficient in MS Office and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Methodical, rigorous, persistent, literate, numerate, highly organized, diligent, and structured.
Competencies:
  • Delivery to schedule and quality objectives.
  • The ability to work with key stakeholders and their feedback as the primary measure.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions:

Air temperatures can range from cold to hot, and the atmosphere may contain dust, fumes, and odors. Employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, safety glasses, bump caps, protective gloves, and hearing protection.
