The Diesel Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining heavy and support equipment at the transfer station and material-recovery facilities safely and professionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot heavy equipment
  • Welding
  • Maintain and repair various types of heavy equipment, diesel motors, and hydraulic systems
  • Take an active role in improving safety and health in the workplace
  • Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Driver's License
  • Supervisory experience
  • ASE Certification
  • Tow Motor Certification
  • Air Brakes Certification
  • Demonstrated mechanical skills
  • Must supply own tools
  • 2-5 years experience in a transportation environment
Physical Demands

The Diesel Technician will be required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the workday. They will also be required to exert physical effort to handle objects up to or under 70 pounds frequently.
