About the Job:
The Transitional Cardiac Unit Registered Nurse RN will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients on our 12-bed telemetry unit. This role involves administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and interpreting telemetry data. The successful candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering compassionate and personalized care to each patient.
Responsibilities:
- Administer all prescribed medications utilizing the 5 rights to medication administration- Change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs- Interpret telemetry monitoring strips and identify cardiac rhythms- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans- Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or compact state* BLS, ACLS certification* Associate's degree in nursing or higher education background preferred* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
