Job Summary

T.W. Frierson Contractor, Inc. is seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. As an Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and service of construction equipment and motor vehicles in our shop and on construction project sites. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering equipment and construction materials and supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on construction equipment and motor vehicles
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Service and repair equipment in our shop and on construction project sites
  • Deliver equipment and construction materials and supplies
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a good driving record; Class A CDL with current DOT medical card preferred
  • Five years of experience as a mechanic with detailed knowledge of internal combustion engines, DC electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and track and aerial equipment
  • Understanding of basic welding techniques
  • Ability to operate all types of construction equipment and vehicles
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, at least eight hours per day, five days a week, between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Travel Requirements
  • Frequent travel within a 50-mile radius of our office to local vendors or projects, 4-5 times per week
  • Occasional travel within a 100-mile radius of our office
