Job Summary

At Williamson Health, we are seeking a skilled Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Technician to join our team. As a DME Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care by fitting patients for DME as directed by physicians, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners. Your expertise will also be utilized to provide patient education, troubleshoot issues, and ensure accurate documentation and authorization.

Responsibilities

Fit patients for DME as directed by physicians, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners.
Provide patient education regarding the use of DME.
Troubleshoot issues with DME products and provide assistance to patients.
Enter charges for DME into the Electronic Medical Records system.
Utilize Don Joy's Motion MD system for inventory tracking and rental agreements.
Triage and multitask in a high-volume clinic environment.
Ensure compliance with payer requirements and maintain accurate documentation.
Provide post-operative care and dispense equipment as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; clinical background or athletic training education preferred.
At least one year of experience in a medical setting with DME or similar experience preferred.
Fundamental knowledge of technical work with orthopedic devices and bracing.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an orthopedic medical practice office environment.
