Position Purpose
This role focuses on the design and development of new remanufactured products, remanufacturing processes, and testing protocols for various market segments, including Automotive Aftermarket, OES, heavy-duty, off-road, commercial, and appliance sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze original equipment to establish remanufacturing requirements
  • Create testing protocols at the component level to identify repair needs
  • Develop functional testing procedures to ensure parts perform as intended
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Formulate remanufacturing processes for new product categories
  • Draft detailed remanufacturing procedures and work instructions
  • Provide technical assistance to remanufacturing operations
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop necessary components
  • Assist Quality Engineers with documentation and bidding processes
  • Support procurement, operations, and maintenance as required
  • Conduct data analysis, including root cause failure analysis, to contribute to continuous improvement efforts
  • Perform time studies and product costing as necessary
  • Establish product, material, performance, and other technical specifications as needed
  • Create training modules for product and application support
  • Inspect product samples as required
  • Generate technical reports as needed

Additional Duties:

  • Engage with customers to provide necessary technical support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers' technical teams
  • Participate in trade shows as necessary
  • Adhere to all company safety, compliance, and housekeeping standards to promote a healthy work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Analytical mindset for problem-solving
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel

Working Conditions:
This position primarily involves working in a lab environment (80-90%) with some exposure to manufacturing settings (10-20%). Daily tasks require the use of hands and arms for computer and phone operations. Clear communication skills are essential for gathering and sharing information. Physical tasks may include moving boxes under 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
