Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team in the development of automotive alignment products. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new products or product enhancements for the automotive equipment industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mechanical design and development of new products or product enhancements for the automotive equipment industry.
  • Work in a team environment with engineers from other disciplines and nationalities.
  • Prepare thorough and accurate documentation for release to manufacturing and for internal product design records.
  • Test and validate alignment products to assure good product performance and high standard of quality.
  • Work with manufacturing and service personnel to resolve problems and improve manufacturability and serviceability of products.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company's products and their applications.

Qualifications:

  • BSME or BSMET degree.
  • Minimum 2 years design experience.
  • Up-to-date knowledge in mechanical design, including the design of plastic molded parts, metal castings, sheet metal, and assembly techniques.
  • Capable of performing engineering analysis and other related calculations to support mechanical designs.
  • Basic understanding of complementary technical disciplines.
  • Able to work with other team members and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative.
  • Proficient in the use of the computer for design and testing, including CREO solid modeling or similar 3D package.
