We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Scheduling Specialist to join our team at Johnson Health Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient access to our services.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with patients and external providers via phone, email, and other electronic channels to ensure timely and accurate communication.
- Direct calls and create detailed records of patient interactions, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Utilize electronic medical records to navigate patient charts and documents, providing requested information to patients and external providers.
- Schedule appointments in our EHR system, ensuring that all scheduling components are accurately completed.
- Remind patients of upcoming appointments and reschedule or cancel as necessary, communicating with patients in a positive and encouraging manner.
- Monitor incoming texts, Live Chat messages, and appointment reminder software, responding in a timely and accurate manner.
- Meet productivity goals while working in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and navigating multiple software programs simultaneously.
- High School diploma or equivalent, with some medical experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products and ability to learn other computer-related applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented setting, promoting the core values of Johnson Health Center.
This is a sedentary role requiring occasional lifting and exertion of up to 25 pounds. Work requires speaking, sitting, bending, walking, standing, hearing, and repetitive motions. Extended hours of computer and keyboard usage.
