This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join KIPP Colorado as a Middle School English Language Arts Teacher. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for driving student outcomes and creating an exceptional student experience. You will develop rigorous, engaging, and affirming instruction that prepares students for multiple post-secondary opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement standards-based instructional plans, including unit plans, scope and sequences, week at a glance, and daily lesson plans.
- Plan rigorous lessons, in alignment with schoolwide planning deadlines, and engage in lesson internalization practices to deliver high-quality instruction.
- Design and implement assessments that are aligned with daily objectives, grade student material, and provide students with feedback and support.
- Use adopted high-quality instructional materials and curriculum with fidelity, including using data to inform cycles of reteach and reassessment.
- Implement all students' IEPs, 504 Plans, ALPs, BIPs, and MTSS-aligned interventions with consistency and fidelity.
- Bachelor's degree (required).
- Spanish bilingual (preferred).
- Ability and willingness to fulfill all state and federal guidelines to meet Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) criteria (required).
- At least 2 years of teaching experience (highly preferred but not required).
- Ability to participate in specific, pre-planned, and required events/activities as directed by the school (required).
KIPP Colorado Public Schools is a network of six free college-preparatory public charter schools open to all students. Our 350-person staff educates 2,600 students from ECE to 12th grade.
