Chief Nursing Officer Job Description

Connections Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Chief Nursing Officer to join our client's team in a small hospital located in North Central New Mexico. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of dedicated healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement overall nursing plan consistent with hospital policies and objectives.
  • Direct and supervise daily nursing service to assure adequate hospital coverage and quality care.
  • Recruit, interview, evaluate, and hire qualified personnel to meet patient needs.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the hospital quality assurance and improvement program.
  • Represent the hospital in health care programs and professional organizations of associates.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN or MHA) required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of CNO experience in an investor-owned healthcare organization.
  • Prior experience in Joint Commission preparation and survey process.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse.
