Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Windows System Administrator to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our Digital Technology organization, you will play a critical role in supporting our global business by providing secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain secure environments across various classified programs.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities.
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
  • Develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must have Windows experience.
  • Experience in one of the following: Active Directory, VMware, MySQL, networking administration experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Linux experience highly desired.
  • VMware highly desired.
  • An active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance or prior SCI/program eligibility.
  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification).
  • Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.

Please note that the salary range for this role is $77,000 USD - $163,000 USD, and the actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
