Medical Assistant Primary Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team at Corewell Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical support to healthcare professionals, including preparing patients for visits, administering medications, and performing various clinical tasks.
- Assist with administrative duties, such as maintaining electronic health records, scheduling appointments, and communicating with patients and families.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment, maintaining equipment and reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity and quality of care, collecting and monitoring patient data, and documenting care according to standards.
- Engage in process and quality improvement activities, making recommendations to improve operational efficiency and implementing new services as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program required.
- 1 year of relevant experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.
- AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) certification required within 120 days.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 120 days.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with variable shifts, including early mornings and late nights. The work environment is fast-paced, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
