About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Lead to join our Primary Care team at Corewell Health. As a Medical Assistant Lead, you will play a critical role in supporting our healthcare team and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support with problem-solving and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of employees and resources while maintaining high standards of quality, service, and satisfaction.
  • Oversee and lead activities of non-licensed clinical staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive problem-solving and improve patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve patient flow, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall patient experience.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program.
  • 5 years of relevant experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting required.
  • Experience working as a Medical Assistant, Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), required.
  • Experience using EPIC required.
  • One of the following licenses/certifications required upon hire:
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) - AAMA American Association of Medical Assistants
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CCMA) - NHA National Health Career Association
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NCMA) - NCCT National Center for Competency Testing
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NRCMA) - NAHP National Association for Health Professionals
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Registered (RMA) - AMT American Medical Technologists
  • LIC-Paramedic License - State of Michigan
  • LIC-License Practical Nursing (LPN) - State of Michigan
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association, or, ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
