Campus Safety Officer

Concordia University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Campus Safety Officer to join our team. As a key member of our safety and security team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct routine patrols of the campus facility to identify and address potential safety hazards.
- Investigate and report on incidents, injuries, and crimes on campus.
- Provide public assistance as needed, including dead vehicle battery jumpstarts and personal safety escorts.
- Secure and unlock doors and facilities as required.
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and exercises.
- Parking enforcement and other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year of experience as a security officer or related experience.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
- Valid guard card issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in person, in writing, over the phone, and over two-way radio.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to lift, pull, grasp, stoop, and reach to access equipment or supplies.
- Requires climbing stairs and walking indoors and outdoors to perform daily patrols.
- Ability to lift and carry materials and/or equipment up to 75 lbs.
