Role Summary
The Associate position is integral to the deal team within a lower middle-market Private Equity firm. This firm is in the process of closing its inaugural fund and aims to invest in businesses valued between $50 million and $300 million, with EBITDA ranging from $5 million to $35 million.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling – Develop comprehensive financial models to evaluate cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise valuations for prospective investments and current portfolio entities.
- Investment Documentation – Create detailed memos and other documentation for presentation to the Investment Committee.
- Market Analysis – Perform in-depth research on market dynamics, growth potential, demand factors, and competitive landscape.
- Diligence Coordination – Oversee due diligence processes in collaboration with external partners, including lenders, accountants, legal advisors, and consultants.
- Portfolio Oversight – Support ongoing evaluation and strategic initiatives for portfolio companies.
Qualifications and Experience
A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking or private equity is required. Experience in lower middle-market environments is advantageous.
