Job Opportunity at Behavioral Perspective Inc

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Technician to join our team at Behavioral Perspective Inc. As a Behavioral Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality therapy services to children with Autism.

About the Role

  • Deliver behavior-analytic services to clients with Autism, working under the close supervision of a Clinic Manager, Clinical Director, and BCBA.
  • Assist in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans, as well as collecting and recording data on programming.
  • Provide 1:1 and group ABA services and programs in both clinic and in-home settings.
  • Maintain professional interactions with families and adhere to behavior intervention plans accurately and appropriately.
  • Perform basic childcare responsibilities, including changing diapers, changing soiled clothing, assisting with feeding, and assisting with dressing.
  • Facilitate independence in daily living skills, including personal care and toileting.
  • Assist in decreasing behaviors that interfere with learner success, such as aggression or self-injury.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance practices.
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, technology, and training.
  • Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to prioritize services for clients as needed.
  • Must be able to pass a background check upon accepting a job offer.
  • Receive and maintain an active RBT certification through the BACB (training provided).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Associates degree or higher in a human services field (preferred).
  • 1-2 years of experience working in ABA or similar human services field (preferred).

Physical Requirements

  • This is a very active role, requiring the ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, spin, crawl, bend to floor, squat, run, climb stairs, reach, grab, push, and pull.
  • Must be able to see, feel, hear, and speak.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
