Position Summary:

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Cloud Security Engineer to join our team on a temporary contract with a distinguished government organization. The successful applicant will possess a robust background in AWS core functionalities, migration initiatives, and security frameworks. In this role, you will play a crucial part in embedding security practices within our DevOps workflows, thereby enhancing the security integrity of our applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate reliability in meeting deadlines and managing time efficiently while delivering high-quality results.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Design, implement, and oversee CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline to ensure swift and dependable application deployment.
  • Security Integration: Incorporate security measures throughout the DevOps pipeline.
  • Automation: Create and sustain automation scripts with tools like Terraform to optimize infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with development, operations, and security teams to align and integrate security practices within the DevOps framework. Provide training and insights on security best practices.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant security standards and regulations. Prepare documentation and reports for security audits and compliance evaluations.

Qualifications:

Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) is advantageous.

Experience:

A minimum of 8 years in a DevSecOps capacity or a related role, with a significant emphasis on AWS core functionalities and migration projects.

Skills:

  • Expertise in AWS DevOps services
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform
  • Experience with AWS CI/CD tools
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting

Additional Requirements:

Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance, requiring US Citizenship.

Availability: Must be able to work from 9 AM to 5 PM EST.

Contract Duration: Temporary position for 3-4 months.
