Brooksource is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our cloud environment team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS and be well-versed in cloud-native principles. This role requires participation in an on-call rotation, with the assurance that it won't drastically impact personal time.
Key Responsibilities- Develop strategies for observability versus monitoring within our organization.
- Take full ownership of services from development through production.
- Collaborate with other teams to determine Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
- Experience with monitoring tools is essential.
- Must have experience with Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
- Must have experience with AWS services and tools.
- Proficient understanding of what it means to be cloud-native.
- Ability to collaborate with other teams.

- Knowledge of service mesh architectures is desirable.
- Familiarity with Argo CD for continuous delivery would be advantageous.

- The candidate should be capable of developing strategies for observability versus monitoring within our organization.
- Will be expected to take full ownership of services from development through production.
- This position is aimed at principal or senior-level candidates who bring significant years of experience in site reliability engineering within a cloud environment.
- Proven track record of building a team from scratch and deploying observability solutions effectively, particularly within digital value streams.
