Academic Faculty Position in Biological Sciences

We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer in Biological Sciences to join our faculty at Augusta University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Biology courses, including Principles of Biology, Environmental Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology. A strong commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduates is essential.
Responsibilities- Teaching Biology courses (90%): The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of Biology courses, including Principles of Biology, Environmental Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology.
- Service on Committees (10%): The candidate will also be expected to participate in service on committees and other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree in a field of biological sciences with at least 18 credit hours in Biology.
- Evidence of ability as a teacher.
- Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned.
- Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements).
- Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.
- Terminal degree in Biology or a closely related field.
- Experience teaching biology at the undergraduate level and coordinating courses and instructional laboratories.
This position is academic year based and typically works August through May. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0. Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements.
