We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic faculty member to join our team in the field of Data Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Teach classes during the academic year as assigned by the Dean, to include all of the duties and obligations expected of a college professor, such as grading, maintaining regular office hours, class preparations, and following university policies regarding teaching.
- Research: Engage in persistent scholarship leading to national/international recognition and impact, with key measures of success including publications and presentations in high-quality venues.
- Service: Provide service to the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences and Augusta University as requested by the Dean, including service to the profession, such as local, regional, and national/international leadership within the discipline.
- PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity
- Assistant Professor: Doctoral degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, computer engineering, or related disciplines, with an active research program and publications in high-quality venues.
- Associate Professor: Doctoral degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, computer engineering, or related disciplines, with at least five years of experience at the rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience, and an active externally-funded research program with a strong record of publications in high-quality venues.
- Professor: Doctoral degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, computer engineering, or related disciplines, with at least five years of experience at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience, and an active externally-funded research program with a strong record of publications in high-quality venues.
