Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Evidence Review Librarian to join our team at Library Systems & Services. The successful candidate will work closely with our Evidence Review team and stakeholders to support agency scientists and researchers in conducting systematic reviews and synthesis of scientific evidence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initial Phase Support: Provide assistance in the initial phases of the evidence review process, ensuring a thorough understanding of the research scope and objectives.
  • Research Collaboration: Work with agency stakeholders to determine the scope of the research, ensuring alignment with the team's goals and objectives.
  • Protocol Development: Collaborate with the evidence review team to develop and update protocols, including a framework and inclusion and exclusion criteria, to ensure high-quality research outcomes.
  • Literature Search: Conduct comprehensive literature searches in multiple databases, utilizing expertise in online databases and search strategies to identify relevant research.
  • Search Strategy Development: Develop search strategies based on the framework and criteria, ensuring effective and efficient research outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Library Science: Possess a Master's degree in Library Science (MLS or MLIS) to ensure expertise in research support and evidence synthesis.
  • Experience in Evidence Reviews: Minimum 2-5 years of experience supporting evidence reviews, including systematic and rapid reviews, to demonstrate expertise in research synthesis.
  • Database Expertise: Demonstrated expertise with a range of online databases in the topic areas of food, nutrition, food safety, agriculture, and health sciences, to ensure effective research outcomes.
  • Review Management Software: Experience with review management software, such as Covidence or Distiller SR, to streamline research processes.
  • Citation Management Software: Experience with citation management software, such as Endnote or Zotero, to ensure accurate and efficient citation management.
  • Research Expertise: Experience supporting research in the topic areas of food, nutrition, food safety, and agriculture, desired to demonstrate expertise in the field.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and researchers.
