SPLIT SHIFT 8a-5p 3p-12a 11:30p-8:30a 11:30p-8:30a OFF OFF 8a-5p

Position Summary:

The Safety and Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring a secure and safe environment for both students and staff. This role involves investigating incidents and accidents to facilitate resolution and prevent future occurrences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Safety & Security Department in maintaining a secure environment.
  • Conduct investigations of incidents and accidents under management guidance, preparing necessary reports and recommending corrective measures.
  • Perform regular safety inspections and assessments of all facilities and equipment to identify potential hazards.
  • Oversee security protocols, visitor management, and student accountability.
  • Assist dormitory staff with inspections and searches for prohibited items.
  • Provide effective supervision and management of the student population, responding appropriately to behavior and fostering a respectful environment.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; advanced degrees are preferred. A valid in-state driver's license is necessary, along with meeting company insurability standards. Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull, push, carry, reach, stoop, and crouch.

Must demonstrate the capability to lift 40 pounds and assess lifting loads to request assistance when needed.
