Key Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic support to students, including academic advising, career exploration, and personal development.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student retention and graduation rates.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless student experience.
  • Monitor student progress and performance, analyzing problem areas and determining solutions.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to students on academic and personal development skills.
  • Participate in university-wide events and programs to promote student success.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, faculty, and staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some professional experience in academic advising, success coaching, or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and developing strategies to support their success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of student development theories and practices, as well as academic advising and success coaching principles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in academic advising or success coaching, with a focus on student retention and graduation.
  • Knowledge of educational database management systems and customer relationship management systems.
  • Experience in program development and implementation, with a focus on student success.
