Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Business Instructor to join our team at Lawson State Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching credited academic and technical courses at the freshmen and sophomore levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver instruction for credited academic and technical courses
  • Perform other duties and tasks associated with institutional effectiveness
  • Adhere to all requirements outlined and published regarding the learning management system (Blackboard)
  • Teach from current job-relevant course syllabi and training plan
  • Supervise students and maintain discipline in class, lab, and shop
  • Develop laboratory projects that enable students to relate theory to practical application
  • Administer written and performance examinations systematically
  • Implement a system of recording student progress
  • Communicate students' progress to students and appropriate personnel
  • Respond to students' requests promptly
Qualifications

Qualified applicants must hold a minimum of a Master's degree including 18 graduate semester hours (27 graduate quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.
