Financial Counselor

Parkwood Behavioral Health System, a UHS facility, is seeking a full-time Financial Counselor to provide financial guidance and support to patients and families.

About the Role
  • Balance patients' financial needs with the facility's operating requirements and financial objectives.
  • Function in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Parkwood Behavioral Health System.
Responsibilities
  • Provide financial counseling and education to patients and families to help them make informed decisions about their financial resources.
  • Develop and implement financial plans to meet the needs of patients and families.
  • Manage patient accounts, including billing, collections, and financial planning.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans that take into account patients' financial situations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in financial planning, accounting, or a related field, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of financial planning, accounting, and working with computer systems.
