Responsibilities

A successful Personal Banker excels in three core areas: service delivery, sales performance, and operational efficiency.

  • Maintain a consistent personal sales and service record by cultivating new and existing client relationships through the customer engagement model.
  • Develop a daily strategy aimed at enhancing customer connections and ensuring adherence to service standards.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to meet personal service, sales, and operational objectives.
  • Demonstrate and uphold Renasant's service standards in every interaction with customers and colleagues.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns by taking ownership of issues and facilitating solutions.
  • Stay motivated to achieve optimal sales and service outcomes on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Utilize all customer interactions, whether in-person or via phone, to identify additional needs and provide tailored recommendations.
  • Build effective partnerships with other business lines to enhance customer relationships.
  • Engage in community initiatives as a representative of Renasant Bank.
  • Serve as a backup Teller or Head Teller when necessary.
  • Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed to minimize exceptions.
  • Carry out all account maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Remain informed about all regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to Personal Banker duties and branch operations.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant customer service and sales experience is required.
  • Strong commitment to achieving sales, service, and operational goals while exceeding expectations.
  • Ability to deliver individual and team sales and customer experience results.
  • Focus on customer financial needs, prioritizing their interests.
  • Knowledge of the financial services sector and local community to better assist clients.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail with a proven track record of accuracy in transaction handling.
  • Comfortable utilizing various technology software for transaction processing.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Aptitude for understanding and applying all regulations, policies, and procedures related to Personal Banker responsibilities and branch operations.
  • Willingness to travel for training and development opportunities as needed.
