Position Overview:
The Mortgage Financing Specialist plays a crucial role in generating new mortgage loan opportunities for the organization. This position involves collaboration with real estate professionals, builders, previous clients, and various referral sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively seek business from both potential and existing clients.
- Conduct interviews with loan applicants and manage the application process for both purchase and refinancing loans.
- Guide borrowers through different loan options, assisting them in selecting the most suitable program for their financial objectives.
- Support the loan processing team by collecting necessary documentation from clients to facilitate underwriting.
- Work closely with processors and underwriters to resolve any issues that may arise during the underwriting process.
- Oversee a substantial loan pipeline, ensuring compliance with closing deadlines and bank requirements.
- Maintain a professional and business-oriented environment within the organization.
- Actively participate in public relations and community engagement initiatives on behalf of the financial institution.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A comprehensive understanding of various loan programs and associated costs.
- Knowledge of FHA, VA, and conventional underwriting standards.
- The ability to meet tight deadlines and work autonomously under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to established guidelines.
- Exceptional self-presentation skills to effectively engage potential clients and referral partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Reliable attendance and a collaborative spirit.
