About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recreation Therapist to join our team at Recovery Solutions. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and implementing therapeutic recreation groups and activities for patients with mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized activity plans to maximize patient participation and positive outcomes.
  • Conduct daily interventions, including individual and group activities, crisis intervention, and behavioral programming to support patient recovery.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to document and achieve measurable objectives in the Recovery Plan.
  • Develop curriculums and resources to support patient engagement and recovery.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation with an option in Therapeutic Recreation.
  • Experience in recreational therapy with persons diagnosed with severe and/or persistent mental illness and/or neurocognitive delays.
  • Certification by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation or certified as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist by the state.
